About the Event

What is NUFIC?

The National University Food Innovation Challenge (NUFIC) is SAF Africa's flagship agricultural innovation programme — a structured platform for showcasing, judging, and commercially launching student-developed agriculture-based food products from universities across Nigeria.

NUFIC 2026 is the inaugural edition, co-hosted with the University of Abuja under a formal MOU. It is designed around a record-breaking coordinated science experiment, creating a combined event of national and international significance.

Strategic Objective

Establish NUFIC as Nigeria's premier university food innovation platform — the annual event every agricultural and food science department wants to participate in.
